The small farmer set-up we work with makes it very complicated to certify our teas as Organic. Instead more of our teas were sent to be tested in the lab for chemical inputs. This time they were sent to SGS Institut Fresenius in Germany and put through one of the most rigorous possible testing sequences: the 'Complex Matrix 600+', a test that looks for 600 different chemical field inputs. The lab found 'no residues of the analysed pesticides'.
In the past, lab results have have shown Tea Studio's teas to be exceptionally clean but this takes it to another level.
